Why we are delighted to be hosting the GreenSign Future Lab 2026

  • For more than 70 years, the Hotel Bristol Berlin has seen itself as a place of exchange and encounter - for locals and guests alike.
  • Hosting the GreenSign Future Lab 2026 is a special honour for us. At the same time, it is a clear commitment that the luxury hotel industry and sustainable behaviour are fit for the future.
  • The format brings together thought leaders in the industry and creates space for dialogue and concrete solutions.
  • It is precisely this open exchange that we want to actively promote and support and are therefore delighted to be the venue for the event this year and hopefully in the years to come.

This is the importance of sustainability at the Hotel Bristol Berlin

  • Sustainability is a central component of our corporate responsibility, which is why we commissioned a sustainability certification as part of the rebranding to the Vignette Collection by IHG.
  • In addition to the responsible use of resources, the area of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is very much in focus for us.

SapoCycle Germany e.V. x GreenSign Future Lab

At the GreenSign Future Lab 2026, work is underway on 26 November: 500 care bags made from recycled materials and donated items. They are produced in collaboration with staff members with disabilities and mental health conditions. The initiative embodies the principles of the circular economy and social responsibility: the Care Bags are distributed via the Berliner Tafel to people in Berlin who need support. Together with strong partners, the Future Lab demonstrates how sustainable practices make a difference in the hospitality sector.

FAQs

Questions about the GreenSign Future Lab?

The GreenSign Future Lab deals with key sustainability topics along the entire value chain of the hotel and catering industry and also addresses relevant perspectives from tourism and destination development. The focus is on practical approaches for hotels and restaurants, including energy and resource efficiency, sustainable procurement, supply chains, the circular economy and economic and organisational implementation issues.

In addition, topics will be addressed in which cooperation with tourism stakeholders and destinations plays a central role, such as regional sustainability strategies, mobility, infrastructure or the joint management of impact. Digital solutions will be discussed as a supporting lever, particularly with regard to transparency, data management and the measurability of sustainable services.

The GreenSign Future Lab is designed as an exchange format and brings together decision-makers from companies, organisations and regions. The focus is on concrete experiences, best practices and solutions that can be applied in everyday operations.

In cooperation with the hotel at the event location and other hotel partners, discounted rooms are available for the duration of the event. At the first Future Lab, we worked closely with several hotels in the immediate vicinity of the location to offer special conditions for participants and partners - and we will continue this approach in the future.

The GreenSign Future Lab is aimed at decision-makers from the hotel, catering and tourism industries who want to develop sustainability strategically and practically. It is aimed at operators, management, executives and managers from the areas of sustainability, operations, purchasing, technology and development.

The event is also relevant for stakeholders from tourism organisations and destination management who think about and shape sustainability in the interplay between businesses, regions and infrastructure. The circle of participants is complemented by selected partners, solution providers and institutions that contribute to the transformation with concrete, application-oriented approaches.

The GreenSign Future Lab is suitable for all those who are looking for dialogue at eye level, want to take responsibility and effectively implement sustainability in their own sphere of influence.
